Hill College is pleased to announce Priscilla Schubert as the new assistant director of the Texas Heritage Museum (THM) bringing over nine years of experience in classroom and museum education.
Schubert comes to the museum from the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., where she served as the events coordinator and museum educator from 2023–2025.
“Priscilla brings extensive, in-depth experience to the Texas Heritage Museum, and we are excited to work with her in leading the museum’s future endeavors,” said Executive Director & Chief Curator of the Texas Heritage Museum John Versluis.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in history education and master’s degree in history from Dallas Baptist University, she spent five years teaching secondary education in the North Texas area. She then moved on to become a museum educator at the Layland & Cleburne Railroad Museums in Cleburne, Texas.
“I am excited to work alongside John and his amazing team and look forward to helping advance his vision for the future of the museum,” said Schubert. “I'm particularly interested in Civil War history, so I'm grateful I get to work at a museum with such a great Civil War collection!”
